Cone Flower Before and After - Color Challenge Day 19

Before.....well,sort of...keep reading.....
This Stampin' Up stamp was inked with TH distress inks and stamped onto a wheat colored panel.  I didn't get the idea to do a before and after until after I had mostly altered the first (largest) flower, and partially the second (on left) flower.  The small flower on the left bottom is unaltered.

After stamping, I took four shades of colored pencil to touch-up the flowers, and two colors to touch-up the stems and leaves.  I just added shadows with the darkest, and blended out with the other colors.  It added much need dimension and depth to the composition, don't you think?  See the difference on the finished card.....
The background was done with pastels.  See previous posts for details on how to apply them.

Today is day 19 of The Daily Marker 30 day color challenge.  Be sure to stop in to check it out.
Thanks for visiting me today.

TGIF.... hope you enjoy your weekend!

Be blessed,

lynda
