Joyful Tidings Christmas Card

Today is the second day of The Daily Marker 30 day color challenge.  You need to color something every day for 30 days.  I decided that I would definitely color something every day, but not sure I will post every day.  I did that a couple of times, and it was too stressful, so I will post whenever I can, and just color on the days I don't post.

I recently purchased a Hero Arts clear stamp set with a berry branch and lots of Christmas sentiments, and was anxious to use it, so here is my card for today.....
I enjoy using non-traditional colors, and my absolute favorite color combination, holidays or not, is purples and greens.  Now I ask you, doesn't that look joyful?

I stamped the berry branch from the Hero Arts CL797 clear set onto olive green card stock.  I used distress markers in greens to stamp and watercolor the leaves.  I used masking to stamp the branch four times along the top of the card stock panel.  After watercoloring, I used my white Prismacolor pencil to add white highlights.

I added the berries with a purple Prismacolor pencil and added white highlights to those.  Berries do come with the set, but I chose to draw mine.

I embossed the Joyful tidings sentiment with Adirondack eggplant embossing powder, and used a My Favorite Things Die-namics die to emboss the rectangle around it.  Then I used a Die-namics die to cut out the panel, and layered it onto a die cut I made with a Spellbinder's die, using craft foam under it for dimension, and layered the whole shebang onto a purple card.

Some spatters using my paint brush and some watered down white acrylic paint for snowflakes finishes off my card.

I am adding it to these challenges:
